How do you improve the experience of navigating a complex geometric shaped library building with 6 floors and 70 miles of stacks? This talk will describe our approach of using a UX process to inform the development of an interactive navigation kiosk. These kiosks are currently installed on every floor of the Perry-Castañeda Library with functionality to find floor maps, access call numbers to book locations and see real-time availability of reservable study rooms.
